All these techniques are from Katonah Yoga® a practice created by Nevine Michaan and that I mostly learned with Dages Juvelier Keates.
YOGA & FOOD IN SICILY
October 1st - 7th
with Lisa Fraipont and Aly Beveridge
This retreat is limited to 8 participants, the vibe will be intimate and laid back, a week to learn about food, to enjoy the last few moments of summer together
Example of schedule
8-8:45am : meditation, breathwork and slow movements with Aly
9am : breakfast
11am -12:30: yoga - dynamic practice with Lisa
free time in the afternoon - to rest by the pool or explore the surroundings
4-5pm: office hours
5:30-7pm: yoga - mobility practice, workshops on adjustements , breathing teachings, katonah yoga theory... with Lisa and Aly
9:30pm: soothing practice to get ready to sleep with Lisa
6 nights in shared rooms in the beautiful Casa Balat
brunch and dinner cooked cooked by Aly
two cooking classes
2 yoga practices a day and a meditation a day with Lisa and Aly
15 hours bankable towards your Katonah Yoga certification
your yoga props: blocks and mats will be included
your means of transportation to the house - Catania airport is one hour away, we strongly advise to rent a car from the airport , we will put participants in touch to carpool
1150 € in a quadruple bedroom (one double bed two be shared and two single beds) with private bath

there is one additional bathroom attached to the living room to be shared by both rooms.

Aly is a chef and yoga teacher based in Copenhagen Denmark. She has trained with teachers all over the world in a diverse range of practices from katonah to ashtanga yoga, transcendental meditation to vipassana, vedic pranayama to nordic winter bathing. She weaves elements of these diverse lineages into her practice and teaching. During the week she will be co-leading meditative practice with Lisa and teaching dynamic asana with integrated pranayama (aka vinyasa). For Aly the purpose of practice is not about completing another check on a to-do list, but rather about using the tools for wellbeing to live a more full, engaged, and conscious life.
Lisa is a Katonah Yoga teacher from Brussels, Belgium.
She’s been teaching hatha yoga for 7 years and found real joy when she discovered Katonah Yoga through Dages Juvelier Keates in Paris in 2018.
She then immersed herself in the practice and the theory and learned with a lot of different teachers.
When she’s not teaching she love to bake sourdough bread or to knit all kinds of hats, playing with technique, pattern & repetition ;)
